Agriculture in the Classroom
The Wayne County Ag in the Classroom program has a focus on agricultural education for grades K-12, focusing mainly on the primary grades.
The goal of the Ag in the Classroom program is to teach children what agriculture is, where their food and fibers come from, and how it affects their lives everyday. We want kids to know that agriculture can be integrated with math, science, social studies, etc. If we can teach students and influence them at an early age, they will grow into adults who appreciate the importance of the agriculture industry in their community.
