The Wayne County Farm Bureau is pleased to announce their support for the Building For Our Future fundraising initiative of the Fairfield Memorial Hospital Foundation. They are supporting the campaign through a gift of $15,000.
“The Wayne County Farm Bureau is continuing our commitment to making a difference in our community by supporting this important project,” commented David White, President of the Wayne County Farm Bureau. “Not only will this expansion provide more jobs in our community, but it will provide desperately needed healthcare services to our members for many years to come.”
Fairfield Memorial Hospital has begun a $19 million expansion project that will provide a new urgent care center, emergency department, expanded surgical services to include the addition of full-time orthopedic services, outpatient clinic, and skilled care unit. The FMH Foundation is raising funds to provide equipment for the new addition.
“Fairfield Memorial Hospital is blessed to have the support from our local organizations like the Wayne County Farm Bureau. We are so encouraged and thankful that they are taking the step to be a part of what will be a historic expansion of services for our organization. Having the continued partnership from our community members and businesses makes this endeavor possible,” said Mariah Case, Executive Director of the FMH Foundation.
The first $5,000 of the Farm Bureau gift will be matched by the Fairfield National Bank (FNB), as part of their Community Proud Campaign. FNB has pledged to match the first $150,000 in contributions toward the hospital expansion project.
The hospital expansion is slated to open in 2022.
