The 2012 drought was the worst in a generation. Crop insurance saved many farms from financial disaster. However, many farmers found that they were underinsured or that a different insurance product would’ve suited their farm better.
The Wayne County Farm Bureau, in cooperation with the Illinois Farm Bureau and Country Financial, is pleased to help farmers review their crop coverages for the 2013 crop year.
“2013 Crop Insurance – Are you Covered?” will be held on Tuesday, January 22, 2013 at the Frontier Community College Foundation Hall in Fairfield, IL beginning at 7:00 p.m.
The program will feature Doug Yoder, Senior Director of Affiliate & Risk Management with the Illinois Farm Bureau. Yoder has decades of experience in grain marketing and USDA programs that makes him uniquely qualified to discuss crop insurance’s role in a farmer’s overall risk management strategy.
Ron Gray, Crop Specialist with Country Financial, will also be on hand to discuss the crop insurance products and services that Country can provide farmers.
The program is free, snacks and refreshments will be provided. Pre-registration is requested. Contact the Wayne County Farm Bureau at 618-842-3342 or by emailing firstname.lastname@example.org if you would like to register.
